Call for Abstracts

IMPORTANT DATES (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)

  • by November 2, 2026 - CNS will issue the Call for Abstracts and the submission portal will be live. 
  • February 1, 2027 - NOON ET - Abstract Submission Deadline. Abstracts must be submitted by this date/time to be considered for awards or publication in the journal of Applied Physiology, Nutrition and Metabolism (APNM). No further submissions or edits will be possible
  • February 12, 2027 - Call for Late-breaking Abstracts (including encore abstracts*) with a submission deadline of March 4, 2027. Late-breaking/Encore abstracts will NOT be eligible for CNS abstract awards or publication in APNM.
  • March 2, 2027 - Authors will be notified of their abstract review results (abstract is accepted / not accepted) via email.
  • March 9, 2027 - Notification to late-breaking abstract authors of review results (abstract is accepted / not accepted) via email. 
  • March 24, 2027 - Deadline for all presenting authors to register to attend the CNS Annual Conference (those who do not register by this date will be removed from the abstract program and from APNM). Attendance is mandatory for all presenting authors.
  • April 26, 2027 - Virtual Poster Expo and People's Choice Award launched.
  • April 29, 2027 - Poster set up at the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
  • April 29 - May 1, 2027 - CNS Annual Conference in Winnipeg.

* Encore Abstracts - abstracts that have been submitted elsewhere or previously published will be accepted for consideration during the "Call for Late-Breaking abstracts" that will be announced on February 12 with a submission deadline of March 4, 2027.  Late-breaking / Encore Abstracts will NOT be eligible for CNS abstract awards or published in APNM.
